Multi-layer composite technology for maximum anti-corrosion performance

WSS Open Sleeve – Heat Shrink Sleeve adopts a composite structure of radiation cross-linked high-density polyethylene base material + special hot-melt adhesive, and some models are equipped with two-component solvent-free epoxy primer, forming a triple protection system.

With excellent core performance:

  • Heat shrinkage rate ≥ 50%: shrinks uniformly in the radial direction when heated.
  • The hot-melt adhesive layer melts fully and bonds tightly with steel pipes, 2PE/3PE anti-corrosion layers, with peel strength ≥ 70 N/cm, achieving seamless sealing.
  • Tensile strength ≥ 20 MPa
  • Resists environmental stress cracking for 1000 hours without cracking
  • Operating temperature range: -40℃ to 90℃
  • UV-resistant, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, suitable for complex working conditions such as underground burial and overhead installation, with a service life matching that of the pipeline.

Open design for excellent construction adaptability!

Different from closed sleeves, it does not need to be installed on the pipeline in advance. It can be directly overlapped and installed at the welding joint, perfectly suitable for joint repair of laid pipelines, bends and large-diameter pipelines.

Equipped with matching fixing sheets and adhesive strips, the overlapped parts are more securely protected to avoid edge lifting and leakage.

Available thickness: 2.0–3.2 mm

Construction is simple and efficient:

The primer can be applied after preheating to 55–60℃, with immediate installation and shrinkage. No complicated equipment is required, greatly improving on-site joint repair efficiency.
